Peter says, "We view the tax return as the start of the client process not the end and our client brief includes providing strategies and solutions to help clients grow their business, their profits and their wealth. As a consequence, the firm has evolved over the past 20 years and is now a full financial services firm offering additional services like financial planning, IT, auditing and marketing."

It can be a complex business having to cater to so many options regarding funeral arrangements, different religions, ethnicities and cultural traditions.”

"The firm's growth is in part due to the fact we care about our clients." As such, he insists clients have the right business structure (to protect their assets), the correct software (to minimize compliance costs) and an understanding of the four ways to grow a business. Peter’s objective with his clients is to solve their tax and financial problems, help them identify and capitalise on opportunities and ensure they avoid the pitfalls. “Our goal is to be very knowledgeable about our clients’ businesses and understand their specific industry issues. Originally studying Environmental Science at LaTrobe University Bendigo, Mathew became a Laboratory Technician for the mining industry, later furthering his studies in IT and graduating with DUX; launching his career in IT.

Mathew's primary responsibility is to ensure that our clients receive the maximum uptime and efficiency from their IT systems. This involves performing a wide range of services from business analysis, solution design and project management through to application, network, server and PC support. Presently his  tasks are split evenly between proactive managed service/consulting activities and IT sales/support.

Mathew is extremely passionate about people, process and technology, in that order! Throughout his career he has seen numerous instances of technology being used to combat people or process issues, only to see a lot of money spent with a failure to deliver the expected benefits. His advice to any business is to put your people first and ensure you have great proven processes in place before you look to technology for efficiencies. Further to this, the projects that he has been involved in that produced maximum return on investment and high staff uptake have all had staff involvement early on, with visible senior management support and used at least some basic change management techniques.
